Their mother was a skilled potter, creating beautiful sculptures with red clay. Making clay animals with her became a core childhood memory for them. As a young adult, they concentrated on printmaking but later on, discovered ceramics.

Being an art teacher for many years, they were always surrounded by children that were immersed in art and were constantly inspired by the children's infatuation with their work. This made entering the studio exciting as it brought them back to their childhood again, with the same absorption in creative play as they always did.

Cats are the main focus of each piece but since they are built individually by hand, each piece is unique and has slight variations from each other. They strive to bring vitality to the pieces, creating unique patterns and details, to express a specific mood or a feeling. The tiles and mini sculptures aim to communicate joy and mystery. Putting these ceramics out in the world brings them much excitement and hopes that it will bring happiness to every person that it reaches.
