Tom 'Deacon Man' Steck started creating art, in early 2002, he saw a patriotic snake lying on the ground in the form of a Japanese maple branch. That first piece along with creations of Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty, ended up in his first year anniversary of 9/11 exhibit at Syracuse University. Tom combines wood carvings with found objects, thereby conceiving one of a kind pieces of art. He states that all his inspiration comes from God and "I never know what will be fashioned until the project is completed."
