  • If you visited the American Folk Art Museum's exhibition titled: Securing the Shadow: Posthumous Portraiture in America, you may remember these portraits in the Museum's collection by Joseph Whiting Stock (1815-1855). These charming portraits are miniature reproductions of paintings in the museum's collection. They depict Francis and Mary Wilcox, a brother and sister who lived in the 1840s. These portraits are on canvas with a golden frame and would make great mementos of the exhibition and are exceptional examples of folk art portraiture.
