Gordon Swenarton took walks in the woods near his home in New Jersey to look for
pieces to make his creations. Originally an artist in the advertising industry, when Gordon
saw a picture of a decoy fish one day in a fishing journal, he began making decoys as
a hobby. He hand crafted each piece on the deck of his house, enjoying freedom to make
creatures look whimsical and colorful. Signed by the artist, Swenarton created authentic
looking tramp art mirrors, wonderful 'snake' walking sticks and more. Swenarton passed
away in 2020, yet his art still lives.
