These pocket-size birds and giraffes are made in Zimbabwe using the fallen seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii). Standing on twisted wire feet, they are hand-painted in the vibrant colors of each bird's plumage. Each animal is made entirely by hand, adding to its quirk and charm.

Care:
- Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster
- For detailed areas (like painted beaks or wire legs), use a soft artist’s paintbrush
- Do not soak or wash in water. The pods are dried natural materials and can swell, crack, or deteriorate if wet
- If needed, wipe lightly with a slightly damp cloth, then immediately dry with a soft towel
- Keep in a dry environment; avoid damp rooms (bathrooms, basements) to prevent mold or warping
- Avoid direct, prolonged sunlight, which can fade the paint and dry out the pod, making it brittle
