A fish made of scrap tin and bottlecaps.

Rik Nelson began making his unique fish in the spring of 2000 during a local Earth Day event where he constructed a "poem board" made from tin can lids. He continues to make these unique pieces with upcycled materials in his studio in Spokane, Washington.

Care:

  • Scrub Gently. Use a soft toothbrush or cloth to clean grooves and edges. Avoid wire brushes unless you’re removing rust from non-decorative caps.
  • Rinse with clean water and dry completely to avoid rust. You can lay them on a towel or use a hair dryer on cool.
