Three Point Design is owned by husband and wife team, Jac Johnson and Patricia Paxon. They create hand-carved, wooden folk art at their studio in Virginia Beach, VA. A large ray of their products are decoys, hand carved and painted, some on metal or wooden displays.

Care:

1. Dust Regularly & Gently

• Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a feather duster to lightly remove dust. Avoid damp dusting unless absolutely necessary.
• If dust settles into crevices, a soft artist's or makeup brush can gently reach those areas.

2. Avoid Moisture

• Keep these pieces dry—water and sensitive finishes don’t mix. Wood can warp or develop mold, and metal accents may tarnish or corrode.
• Never submerge the piece. If surfaces need cleaning, lightly moisten a cloth and dry immediately.

3. Protect from Sunlight & Heat

• Display them away from direct sunlight, radiators, or vents. UV rays can fade paints, and heat can crack wood or distort the finish.
• Maintain consistent indoor temperature and humidity to avoid splitting or warping.

4. Handle with Care

• Move them with both hands, supporting the base and not just decorative protrusions.
• Avoid placing heavy items atop these sculptures to prevent dents or breaks, especially in delicate features like fins or wings.

5. Preserve Wood Finishes

• Consider applying a light coat of beeswax or a judgment-safe microcrystalline wax (like Renaissance Wax) to nourish and protect the surface.
