Using the seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii), Zimbabwean artists have created these charming little birds. Standing on hand-twisted wire feet, they are between 3-6 inches tall and are hand-painted in the rich, bright colors of each bird's plumage.

Care:
- Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster.
- For detailed areas (like painted beaks or wire legs), use a soft artist’s paintbrush.
- Do not soak or wash in water. The pods are dried natural materials and can swell, crack, or deteriorate if wet.
- If needed, wipe lightly with a slightly damp cloth, then immediately dry with a soft towel.
- Keep in a dry environment; avoid damp rooms (bathrooms, basements) to prevent mold or warping.
- Avoid direct, prolonged sunlight, which can fade the paint and dry out the pod, making it brittle.
